Ashreigney Country Fundraisers are a small group of like-minded people, raising funds for locally based charitable organisations. Funds are raised through events which reflect our interest in older machinery and country music.

CLIC Sargent
|

Ashreigney Country Fundraisers are delighted to announce that a total of £2200.00 has been donated to our nominated charity for 2008.
The presentation to CLIC Sargent was held at North Heale, Ashreigney, on Wednesday 10th December. Committee Chairman Steve Johns thanked everyone for their efforts during a very wet and unpredictable 2008, and presented a cheque for £2200.00 to Mr Mike Clift, Chairman of the North Devon branch of CLIC Sargent. Mike gave a short presentation, explaining the history and aims of CLIC Sargent, and described some of the ways in which this donation could be used to provide care and assistance to affected children and their families in the North Devon area. This includes direct home nursing, respite breaks and assistance with travelling and accommodation when visiting hospital for in-patient treatment. We would like to thank Mr and Mrs Clift for giving us this insight, and for travelling to Ashreigney to accept our donation.
The committee and friends of Ashreigney Country Fundraisers would like to thank all those people who have helped, in any way, throughout this past year. Your assistance and attendance at our events really do make a difference. We look forward to meeting you at some or all of our events in 2009.
Our nominated charities for 2009 have now been confirmed as the Barnstaple branch of the St John Ambulance, and the Appledore Lifeboat.
